The Parochial Vicar at our parish has told the children that they can wear their Halloween costumes to Mass on October 31st. Is this an acceptable practice? Pattie Roman Catholic
Well, this is a judgement call, isn’t it. It’s really a matter of propriety. Many costumes would be acceptable. But a costume of Satan or a witch or any other likenesses of evil would be highly inappropriate in church and especially at Mass.
