Are "Independent" Baptists baptizims valid?

Does the Catholic faith see “Independent” Baptists baptizims valid?

If someone converts from this faith and want to join the Catholic faith as an adult, what if they can’t recall what was said or done during their Baptism as a Baptist?
 
If the baptism is done in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, then you’re good to go.

i actually saw a video of a kid do a cannonball into the baptistry to be baptized. i think it’s on youtube somewhere.

Call the Baptist church in question and ask the secretary or the pastor how they do it.

Is there really such thing as a non-trinitarian Baptist?
 
I myself have wondered about the validity of certain Baptisms in various Protestant denominations. The reason the Church doesn’t recognize Mormon “baptisms” is because they don’t have the same intention as the Catholic baptism.

As far as I know, certain Protestants do not have the same intention (restore communion with God by removing the stain of Original Sin) when baptizing their members. For many Baptists in particular it’s only just a rite of passage.

I think the Church should look into this more…just my opinion though.

in this diocese every Baptist baptism has to be scrutinized because there are several sects besides So. Bapt, some of which have valid baptism with water and trinitarian formula, but some do not. We can call the diocese with the name of the church and the preacher. In fact, in any doubtful baptism we are required to ask the diocese for a decision (the pastor does this). If the facts cannot be ascertained, a conditional baptism can be done.

Yes. There are some Baptists (not only Pentecostals) who are Oneness. They call it “Apostolic faith” (code word), but they are really Sabellian Modalists, and baptize in the name of Jesus only.

Yes this is true, also I’ve been hearing recently from a Baptist friend about some Baptist Churches not baptizing at all. His girlfriend has been a member of their Church for years but she has never been baptized. So I guess for some there might be a possiblity that a baptist who comes to the Catholic Church may have never been baptized at all.
