Are Jesus, Christ, and Lord titles while Emanuel is a name?

The name Jesus is derived from Joshua (Jeshua) and is indeed a name (meaning “God Saves”) and not a title. Christ is a title from the greek word “Christos” meaning “anointed one”. Messiah is hebrew for “anointed one” as well. I hope this helps…teachccd

In Matthew 1,21, the angel orders Joseph to call the child Jesus. That is His only name. The others are, as you say, epithets or titles.

“Christ” is the Greek for of “Messiah” (Anointed).

Emmanuel is from Isaiah 7,14 :

14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.[God with us]
