Are Jews saved?

Hmmm Halloween I think Jack Chick wrote a tract about that…was it about how the Pope molested kids or was it about how an evil Roman Catholic priest named Bob built Frankenstein with the sole purpose of eating babies…I dunno they all run together after a while…

Should I be disturbed that I’m gone for three days while I complete my move, and come back to find both sides are exactly where they were in their arguments, just repeating the same thing over and over, accusing the other side of doing the same while imposing their view of scripture and/or tradition on the other.

I’ve already addressed the accusation that I’m imposing tradition on scripture - I have simply repeated what scripture said, not what any church I agree with said. What I’ve gotten in response has been, “Scripture says that…but here’s what I believe it means…” Though Robbinson’s at least been kind enough to respond to the scripture mentioned, which I appreciate.

I just love your signature. It’s exactly what I’m thinking! 😛

That’s not his signature.

BTW, anyone remember that Mosacked guy that used to post here? He ended every post with his “Muslims Open Your Eyes” blog link. One day I asked him why he didn’t just put that in his signature, since it would save him time copying and pasting the link over and over again. His response amounted to, “MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!”

Mosacked’s biggest failing was this: he had no real appreciation for Tang. 😃

According to scripture Ther Jews were set aside and hold a special place with God. We are NOT permitted to save the Jews. If we attempt to save them we take away everything they know and they no longer are Jews.

Yes, interpretation. Everyone is interpreting, some of the Catholics are doing it in light of Catholic Tradition, I agree that some are just interpreting to read what they want to believe, but not everyone.

According to scripture the followers of Christ are the New Israel (the inheritors of the Jews), since the Apostles themselves preached to Jews, being themselves Jews, I’m not only going to say that isn’t in scripture, but that it is also in violation of Holy Tradition.

 Where is that in scripture? And if that is so…why did all the apostles preach to the Jews to come to Christ? That’s the very first thing they did, in fact, was after Pentecost preach to the Jews who were in Jerusalem and tell them to repent and believe in Christ. This doesn’t touch on the fact that Paul was going across the Middle East going into the synagogues and debating the Jews there.

I am, of course, joking, Nine. I can’t read hide nor hair of what you had at the bottom LOL! 😃
It isn’t a signature, but I should make it one, many people (and I would argue myself foremost among them) need to be reminded of it.

Well… brothers and sisters, I want to introduce to you a different view as to what you all have been taught for so many years as gospel.

Everything I say is in my opinion and grounded in the whole of the bible. Originally, by the Catholic churches hand, where God has used it as an instrument to deliver to the world such a book.

The big picture as I see it from beginning to the end of the bible is this:
  1. God created all there is.
  2. The fall of mankind was part of that creation as stated.
  3. The judgment of that fall was eternal separation falling on all souls is known as death.
  4. Then the final execution.
  5. God created the first parents with the ability to choose from two extremes, good and evil.
  6. The fall of mankind was due to that ability to choose as found in Genesis 3:22.
  7. The judgment is the resultant of the the number two above resulting in number 4 below.
  8. Death finalized.
Now, here is the time line for God saving His creation of which was lost in the process of creation.

Adam and Eve given authority to multiply and subdue the earth and everything on it.
At a predetermined time in human history, God saw fit to introduce to mankind that particular tree withheld back in the book of Genesis 3:22, as the tree of life.

This tree of life is Jesus introduced first by Abraham as a similitude of God the Father and Jesus the Son.

Through the prophets, prophesied the coming of the a Messiah, the Son of God, that would become the Savior of the world, or in other words, the Savior of all mankind lost.

Then came the chosen race to burden the message to the world: the Jews.

The Jews then had the responsibility to tow the line of righteousness in testimony to the world of the truth God of the universe.

The law then was introduced by Moses as the law of laws, mainly to the Jews only.

So far, all stories concern only the Jews and for the Jews, the rest of the world was considered without hope, since they knew not who God was.

Enter Jesus, “in these last days” Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son"…

Jesus then being the true manifestation of the Character of God to humanity, and the true compassion of God in human form came to us as the true Messiah promised as written by the prophets.

The stories of the likes of Noah, Moses, Abraham, Issac, Joshua, Joseph, etc. are similitude’s of Jesus.

In order than for God via His chosen ones, to reach the rest of the world to include them in His salvation of them, God had to have His chosen ones reject the messenger and His message of grace, by having them follow strictly the law of Moses.

By so doing, they were doing the will of God!

Meaning in all of this, that the Jews being faithful to the law must reject any other gospel not given to them by Moses, and kill the messeigneurs.

Why suppose Jesus was accused of blasphemy?

In Summary:
God chose the nation of Israel to do His work of introducing Himself to the world.
Then God had to show the world via the rise and fall of the Jewish nation consistently, as a futile attempt at righteouness required by the law of God.

Hence, only God alone could perform such a feat as that.

Jesus then being a type of a second Adam, a new creation, is technically the beginning of life, for in Him only is there life given to us.

A rebirth of a dead soul of ours is required for entrance into life with Jesus.

Not a rebirth as if going back into our mother’s womb, but a rebirth of our dead spirits as per the first Adam.

So read this next verse: Joh 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Jesus is of the Jewish decent, and Jesus is our salvation.

So, tying things together we have the nation of Israel suffering the pains for the worlds salvation, as did Jesus.

Why suppose they are hated of all nations?

They will all be saved as you and I are.

The question for them and us is when?

Well, it can happen now, this very instant, by accepting Jesus as your personal Savior by simply asking Him to come into your heart and remake of you into a new creation.

Ref: 2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

So you see, you and any Jewish person can take advantage of it now, but if not, then they will have to wait till life ceases to exist in the flesh to bow at the feet of Jesus.

Hope that helps and hopefully, you all may make a mad dash to your bibles and do some research on your own, letting the Holy Spirit reveal to you according to your ability to digest spiritual food.

In no way do I advocate anybody leaving their chosen religious organization, I understand that the Holy Spirit will lead us to where ever He wants us to go.

Blessings, AJ

Wonderful post AJ - We are mostly in agreement (though I don’t think “non-Jews” were lost prior to Christ and Judaism also teaches non-Jews could/can find salvation outside the Mosaic law. There is a moral law/natural law within every human heart (masked by sin).

I too believe/pray that Jesus calls to all, in the moments before their death (His will know his voice) so that those supernaturally blinded now, or who don’t “know” the gospel, have a chance to respond to God’s grace. (See my post #56) This would be consistent on a macro level with the Catholic doctrine of invnicible ignorance and a means of harmonizing that doctrine with a need to respond to God’s calling/grace.

However, I do think we are charged with an express command by Jesus to preach the gospel - which includes to the Jews and all others, to “fertilize the soil” for the working of the Holy Spirit.

Curious as to why you left the Catholic Church (this post, at least, remains consistent on a larger level with Catholic teaching :-)).

Blessings,

Brian

Hi, Brian
Wonderful post AJ
To God be the glory!

Agreed!

Basically, because of my dad.

He saw things He did not like, being in a small town church, he was led to read the bible to search out his own answers.

He did find things which caused him to look elsewhere, finding the Baptist church.

He invited, not forced the family to visit with him the Baptist church.

I reluctantly agreed, and to my amazement, I saw no decorations on any of the walls as like the Catholic Church.

What I did like about the Baptist church is that they taught me the bible, or at least introduced me to many things in the bible that as a young lad in the Catholic church was hungry for.

I believe the Holy Spirit leads us in a journey through life, through places we are not familiar with so that in the journey’s path, we may learn things we could not necessarily learn if we stayed behind.

Such was my journey, to find truth as I believe that God has given me spiritual food consistent with my ability, via life’s experience and age, to understand some deeper truths about His word.

I used to hold the view that just certain people would make it to heaven which bothered me throught my whole life until I believe I found the answers.

My last post reflects those answers lightly, for there are many deeper things that are hard to understand by many, and may be misconstrued as heresy if I were to explain them here.

I have no organizational ties, just a free agent, being made free in Jesus using the net and daily living as the vehicle to address God’s issues, based on the will of the people to desire the opportunity to learn something good about God.

I converse, in other forums to Atheist, Mormons, JW’s, Islamic, Satanist, and any others that want to challenge me about the word of God.

I give them every opportunity to declare their views without my condemnation and suggest only that they consider my views as well, and chose there by.

I am well read in the bible and make use of Esword, if you want to goggle it, a bible cd filled with many commentaries and strong s concordance, totally free from the author.

I donated to the authors cause for the furtherance of his labors of the CD.

Anyways, hope to have great discussions here.

Blessings, AJ

Robbinson, I replied to your questions and scripture citations in this post.

Also, something I missed:
Yes, interpretation.
That’s like a father telling his son to mow the lawn, the son not doing it, and when the mother says, “You know your father told you to mow the lawn,” the son replying, “That’s just your interpretation.”

Now you are just being silly. Truthfully, while you are clearly well versed in scripture and passionate, your posts continually lack charity and love. Paul told us that if we lack love, we have nothing. I’d urge you (aside from the debate on the merits in these exchanges) to ultimately go back through your responses in this thread (and mine) and compare tone. You are too quick to accuse and post sarcasim to be the effective evanglist that I know you are trying to be.

As to the merits - we are beating a dead horse, and I’m not actually trying to convince you of anything - just explaining what I believe and why and pointing to scritpural support. I understand your interpretation of these various verses and why - I’ve expressed numerous times my interepretations and why. . . ultimately, we disagree. I offer that disagreement in love and respect - I hope you can do the same.

Blessings,

Brian

I simply pointed you to where I had replied to you so we could continue the conversation - I don’t see how that is “being silly.” I also replied in that original post by going through the verses and explaining why I disagreed with you from them. If mere disagreement is “sarcasm,” then I’m sorry but I must reject that. Pointing out theological inconsistencies likewise is not sarcasm - otherwise, we have a lot of sarcastic Church Fathers.

The scripture is clear, and, to be perfectly honest, I think that is the only reason you are always so hesitant to respond to it.
