I agree it depends. In what context? Among friends or strangers? Impossible to answer.

Example please.
Calling President Trump Cheeto

Or

Barrack Obama 's lip color.

Or

Maxine Waters hairstyle. (Some argue that calling Trump Cheeto has to with his hairstyle choice. So I add this analogy).

That last one had nothing to do with one’s skin.
Many argue that calling Trump cheeto has to to do with his personal groomimg choices. So in that context it is a comparable analogy.

Moved this to casual discussion because it isn’t a Catholic apologetics discussion.

Dude, are you okay? Or is this one of Robert’s kids playing a joke on us?

No I am serious. On other threads on this forum other members are saying it is not racist to make jokes about someone’s skin color. Someone has told me the Cheeto reference is about his personal grooming habits. So if that is okay then I ask why is it considered racist to say something about Maxine Waters hairstyle?

I’m pretty sure the Cheeto thing has nothing to do with race and everything with his spray tan.

I don’t know. I’ve never heard anyone make fun of her hair/wig/ferret. But I have heard her referred to as Maxipad.

Where? It’s totally racist , sorry. Ever been subject to racism because of your skin colour or ethnicity.

It’s more then that though, it’s not Christian. It’s breaking Commandments of love your neighbour and not offending others
