You could say that pure thoughts are those directed towards God, or aligned with God’s will.
“blessed are the pure of heart”.
Lust has a specific connotation.

Lust is a subset of impure thoughts. Impure thoughts also include malice, blasphemy, etc.

I’d say in common use around places like this, they are usually synonymous. I agree with the above that impure could also be used to mean sinful more generally.

I think they are pretty similar. Impure could constitute something more brief perhaps? I think of it as more of a non-entertained thought rather than a full blown accepted and dwelt on thought.
I think as others have said, impure thoughts could also be more general/cover more topics.
