And that justifies government lies and deception how? I’m still trying to connect this to your original post and the title you chose for the thread.
Again, IF lying, cheating, deception, and the creation of illusions are needed for the advancement of the world and subsequently promotes human welfare, then to me, it can be justified, even if it’s done through Satan, the Prince of all falsehoods.

For example, if a falsehood motivates people to work, which in turn is needed for the advancement of the world and the eventual promotion of human welfare, I would think it’s justifiable, although not idealistic.

We all should know by now that the governments of the world promote a fair amount of falsehoods, and yet, Christ postpones His Second Coming. Why? Could it be that the salvation of people will be enhanced after the completion of the world, which is being done through the use of falsehoods?

A more concrete case would be an illusion that our country is at war with an “evil” nation, such as the Nazis, which if lost would mean our nation becoming fascist in order to get our the minds of our citizens off of social change by uniting people under patriotism and motivating them to work.

Why stop there? Shouldn’t we kill the newly baptized, since that will ensure their salvation? It’s not ideal, but hey, it gets the job done.

I recommend to you some study on consequentialism and why it is wrong.

If consequentialism is so very wrong in doing away with falsehoods, which are plentiful I think, why is Christ postponing His Second Coming? It seems to me that God is allowing these falsehoods being propagated by Satan to take place until the world is completed or reaches a certain stage in development where He feels the greatest degree of the salvation of souls can take place. The propagation of falsehood from God’s perspective, I believe, is trivial in comparison to the maximization of the salvation of souls.
