Are married couples who experience infertility required to actively try to adopt?

Acts of contraception are immoral because each act of intercourse must be ordered to both unity and procreation.
And if this is the decided “will of god” and people go against it, my argument still stands as stated. Any interfering either way could be seen as disordered.
To prevent further thread hijack I will not respond further. (Muting thread, and I apologize for starting the hijack)

My question had to do with whether the couple was required by the church to be open to adoption in the event of infertility. I think the first poster answered my question. Thank you!

If that’s true, then modern medicine is immoral, because if someone is supposed to just die of the flu or pneumonia, it’s the will of God, and we shouldn’t stand in the way.

Infertility may be treated. There are morally licit means of doing so.

Contraception is to deliberately alter the nature of the marital act. It can never be morally licit.
