Are Mass Song Hymnals usually blessed?

Are Mass Song Hymnals usually blessed?

Seeing the condition most of them are, yikes! :eek:
 
Being blessed doesn’t mean they’re protected from deterioration.

That said, almost anything can be blessed. Pets, homes, cars, books, food, etc.
 
No, I know that.

I was just wondering because the way that I used to treat them when I was a little kid… yikes! :eek:
 
And I’d assume disposable Missalettes aren’t blessed either.
 
At my parish, where I serve at the music director, our yearly disposable books are not blessed. They do, however, spend sometime in the reconciliation room after they are delivered, so they might have be absolved of any sins brought on by lackluster songs. 🙂
