Lutherans also have a rosary. Lutheran Rosary

There is also a Lutheran one that is fairly nice, and looks somewhat like the St. Jude Here pictured near the bottom of this page. It has 1 large bead, and 10 smaller ones on each side and a starburst sun on one end. As well as the Christ wreath.

Pretty much the same meditations but the catholic one will go through 20 meditations.

I also have some Methodist friends who now say the rosary 👍 so feel free to say it.

Peace and God Bless
Nicene

Why would it not be appropriate - even just thinking about it logically.

When you pray the rosary you pray to God in some bits and to Mary in other bits.

Of course non-Catholics can pray to God. Anyone can. Otherwise how would people even become Catholic in the first place (I mean converts, not infant baptisms) if they can’t in some way contact God to discover that He really is there? But anyway, there are probably better arguments for this, the point is hopefully we all agree that anyone can pray to God.

Now, about praying to Mary. When you pray to Mary and the saints you are asking them to pray for you. It’s similar to you asking me to pray for you - and of course you can do that. Mary and the saints can hear our prayers because God allows them to. Why would God block you ‘access’ for talking to the saints? And even if He does (very unlikely as far as I know), it doesn’t mean you’ve done something wrong, it just means they don’t hear your prayer and you will probably never find out about it.

Although, another thing is when you pray to Mary and the saints you honor these people (this is okay, it’s just like how you are told to honor your parents, similar kind of thing). In the CA library they say that when we honor the chosen friends of God we honor God himself. Now of course there’s probably a lot of people you honor on earth, like your parents, mentors etc. - like was there anyone who helped you convert? You probably have a lot of respect for them. So there’s nothing wrong with you honoring Mary and the saints - chances are they have been helping you too, and also you respect them for being good people in their time.

So, in short, yes, you can pray the rosary. I know, it’s a long answer to a question that should be pretty simple, but I guess it doesn’t hurt to make sure.

I don’t quite get what puzzleannie means about fast-tracking but then again I’ve never converted before. Let us know how it goes (-:

Hello, Welcome, and YES, YES, YES!!!

You may absolutely pray the rosary! If you do not own one and presuming you have never prayed the rosary before, you may like this site:

ewtn.com/vondemand/audio/seriessearchprog.asp?seriesID=504&T1=rosary

It’s a link to EWTN’s Scriptural rosary. It takes you through all of the mysteries of the rosary and gives you Scriptural references to meditate upon while you are praying the prayers!

You will surely be richly blessed by praying this powerful and beautiful prayer!
You can also get a freeware rosary program from: tinyurl.com/3bucb – really cool, it includes options for a Scriptural Rosary.
Just remember to switch your screen back to playing solitaire when the boss comes by!

I recently heard the John Wesley never left the Anglican church. I don’t know the specifics but I’m trying to find out more.
This is true!! He lived & died an Anglican.
After his death, increasing:crying: prejudice toward his folllowers’ insistence on prayer & holiness in living, made them more & more unpopular , & the 2 groups split apart.
In his lifetime, Wesley was often denied the use of Anglican churches for meetings, as many of the upper crust of British society were less than thrilled at having “their” churches invaded by the working class people who often were served by the Wesleys…
In one notable case, he was forbidden to preach in the church his father had served as pastor, when John was a little boy.He prayed earnestly ( perhaps his beloved rosary)…and then, went to the church yard, stood on his father’s grave & had the service there…“The one place”, he said, " where no one can deny me the right to pray & speak".

Oh, yes: I , your:wave: Friendly Neighborhood Methodist, not only:yup: pray the rosary; I also make them:yup: …
