As you have mocked the leader of the Catholic Church? No, it’s not relevant. You will just mock my denomination if I were to tell you.

Well, who is he to judge if that person wants to seek to return to communion with the Church?“Who am I to judge?”
Why you won’t tell us is beyond me. You’re mocking mine, actually. I’m a far better Christian in that I won’t mock you for your beliefs. I just want to know where you’re coming from. You will just mock my denomination if I were to tell you.
He isn’t willing proclaim with certainty that anyone is going to hell. He realizes that judgement is above his paygrade. I find it refreshing and admirable.and that homosexuals go to Hell.
The Church has profound respect for other religions, and highly values the truths they contain. You’ll find this all explained in Nostra aetate (The Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions):How then can any Catholic possibly give any value to non-Christian religions?
This is part of what I think makes him so appealing to so many and not just Catholics. I’ve heard diehard atheists say “you know, if you’re gonna do the God thing, he’s probably your example”.He isn’t willing proclaim with certainty that anyone is going to hell. He realizes that judgement is above his paygrade. I find it refreshing and admirable.
God Bless Pope Francis. He is doing his best to walk in the foot steps of Christ. Such a beautiful example of the best parts of Christianity.QwertyGirl:![]()

Again, I refer you to Nostra aetate:Explain to me how any of us can safely “drink around the poison” inherent in every other non-Catholic religion.
You come to a Catholic Forum, mocks the Catholic Faith and then is ashamed to tell people which sect you follow because they will be mean to you?No, it’s not relevant. You will just mock my denomination if I were to tell you.
The OPs/thread starters seem to have disappeared.drac16:![]()

Give us a break…
Completely disagree.Acceptable and unacceptable are strong words. If you perceive other religions as poison, I suggest you stick with your own and keep to yourself. I am not sure that is God’s intent, given he created such a diverse world with diverse people, and (yes) diverse religions. If you don’t find other religions “acceptable”, than I can only believe you find them “unacceptable”. I don’t like to think of people (which is what religion is, afterall) as unacceptable. Certain things about them may be, but not them as individuals. Now I can hear it coming …“People aren’t religion. Love the sinner, hate the sin”, etc. But the reality is, if you are a devout Catholic, I am sure you identify as your religion. It is a huge part of what you are. So by saying other religions are unacceptable, you are saying the people in them…those people who hold their own faith as close to their hearts and souls as you do yours…are unacceptable. And, that is something I believe is unacceptable.
Yup.Maybe another post and run thread? This is getting boring…
First off your post was a negative reaction to another’s post, so pot meet kettle.I don’t really believe in any religion, so I doubt I am going to give you an answer you are looking for with that. Instead of taking the idea I presented and looking for something positive in it, you go looking for a way to prove it wrong. Knock yourself out with that. And by the way, there are a lot of people who don’t consider Satanism a religion at all.
There are many branches of Satanism, most are bored teenagers mocking Christianity for fun, but there are people who truly worship the Devil and even commit brutal crimes involving human sacrifice. And by the way, there are a lot of people who don’t consider Satanism a religion at all.
