Are non-denom "churches" basically protestant?

Reminds me of a fact that I find funnier than anything -

that - 40 years after I finished schooling -* I’m* now the one
who’s Counter-Cultural! 😃

-does that mean that now I’m “protesting” the culture that some of
the former “protestors” produced?
