The EO are in a different situation from schismatic RC.

It’s quite the quagmire - it took me the entire afternoon researching and studying to understand the issue. It simply wasnt making sense to me a few hours ago. Now it does.

That’s why I have been saying all along that the Catholic Church sees the Orthodox as Sister Churches.

Being true Churches, they have the authority to govern themselves.

In contrast, ecclesial communities are not full Churches in the fullness of the word. Much less is the SSPX a true Church. They have their own internal discipline, but not the same power of governance that comes with Apostolic Succession.

Friend, Father quoted the appropriate Magisterial documents to back up his answers early in this thread. After he quoted these Magisterial sources, you continued to challenge him and questioned whether he was even a true priest… you picked a fight.
