I note that Canada, Switzerland and Northern European countries are contributing a LOT of money to UN programs for population control, and US foreign policy is sort of guiding the distribution of the abortifacients and poverty programs that are eugenic in the Third World. I have wondered before if this is a conspiratorial situation, but USCCB says that eugenics is a movement and not a conspiracy. It is all making the US a more feminist place and driving our country deeper and deeper into Big Government beaurocracy and supporting Big Pharma and the AMA. So can it be said that it is “European in Concept”?

I will ask this question: with finite resources how are we going to help those people? What is wrong with population control as long as it does not involve murder or coerced sterilization?

Are you two serious? Did I just read these two entrys from supposed Catholics on Catholic Answers? There are people being killed all over the world this way from population programs, best known in China. I insist on an apology.

Firebrand,

Welcome to CAF. One thing to remember is that many people here are not Catholic. And many people here who claim to be Catholic dissent from the Church on important issues of faith and morals. Others will play devil’s advocate at times in order to get someone to clarify their comments.

If you click on the name of the member who posted a message, you can see their profile. Most people, but not all, state their religion.

Ribozyme is not Catholic.

Meathead says he is Catholic. He was asking a reasonable question to clarify Ribozyme’s post. It does not mean he supports that viewpoint. Though I would be interested in a clarification from him. I mean does he support the Nazi tactic of forced sterilizations? I should add that the Church is vehemently opposed to even voluntary sterilization.

Meathead, we are waiting.

Too many people would put an onerous burden on the planet’s resources (hopefully asteroid mining and alternative energy might provide solutions) and it is harded to adequately provide for more people when we cannot serve the current 6.7 billion adequately.

And no, I never supported forced sterilizations.

And I am not a Catholic; I have a better God than Yahweh.
