The CC is growing but not at the same proportion as Islam is growing. Are people leaving the catholic church more than other Christian faiths or are all Christian faiths on the decline?
Is it growing as a percent of the population or just in sheer numbers? Also are you counting just those who self-identify as Catholics or are you also including those who were baptized Catholic but then moved onto another faith? The CC is growing but not at the same proportion as Islam is growing.
That would be interestingAlso are you counting just those who self-identify as Catholics or are you also including those who were baptized Catholic but then moved onto another faith?
That’s true but Islam is mainly growing through breeding, meaning they are having larger families. The CC is growing but not at the same proportion as Islam is growing.
Which is fine. And “having families” would be the preferred description rather than “breeding”.That’s true but Islam is mainly growing through breeding, meaning they are having larger families.
In your opinion!Which is fine. And “having families” would be the preferred description rather than “breeding”.
Catholic families have traditionally been larger than Protestant families. Would it appropriate to say Catholics are outbreeding Protestants? Breeding is a term that’s more appropriate for population growth in animals as opposed to human beings.TK421:

Your opinion. I used the word correctly whether you like it or not.Breeding is a term that’s more appropriate for population growth in animals as opposed to human beings.
Asia and Africa are projected to increase greatest in number of Catholics.Lots of articles about this in the past several years. The conclusion seems to be (World View) the future of the Church will be with people of color and financially poorer. The days of Fr. Flanagan, “Going My Way” and “The Bells of St.Mary” are pretty much in the rearview mirror. (sigh)
Latin America & Caribbean 83.3% : 41.0%
Africa 17.9% : 21.7%
Europe 36.4% : 16.2%
Asia 4.3% : 13.1%
North America 25% : 7.2%
Oceania 26.8% : 0.8%
The only place I can think of that would have been comfortable using the word “breeding” to describe people would have been Germany in the 1930’s.Mike_from_NJ:

That’s your dark mind. The only place I can think of that would have been comfortable using the word “breeding” to describe people would have been Germany in the 1930’s.
“Breeding” has an extremely nasty connotation when applied to humans. The term is more often applied to animalsIn your opinion!
