Are people leaving Catholicism more?

At least in Brazil we have what i call “social catholicism”, people dont even go to mass at sunday but baptize their children so they can get some neat pictures, later on they get their child confirmed so they can get more pictures, its all just a big social event and the same ignorant people who do this also go like “man i just came out of my yoga class and bough this neat dream catcher to put on my wall, i also saw my zodiac sing mumbo jumbo thingy and it said that i will be lucky today ”

That’s why i usted to be an atheist, people didnt take stuff serious so why should i?

I think that is also what Cardinal Sarah said in one book while he was describing faith in Guinea and other African countries.
While West is losing faith Africa is place where faith is born again.
