I don’t know if this thread belongs here but here goes anyway.
Do you think that professional sports athletes are paid way too much? Esp. baseball players.
Do you think its sinful of the athletes to get paid this amount of money?
My opinion is yes to the first question but no to the second one. I base that on the following hypothetical situation. Lets say you want to start up selling computers. Lets say you get good staff and market it right and millions of people agree and want to buy it. Well at the end of the year you look at your financial records and see you sold millions (billions possibly). Now what you do with your money is another matter but its not a sin to successfully sell a marketable product at a reasonable price.
If I had the talent of a major league baseball player and a team wanted me to play for them and said they would agree to pay 2, 3, 5 million, should I say, “Sorry Mr. X but that would be wrong please pay me only…”?

However, if the players association decided that they aren’t getting enough millions and said lets strike for more money than what they really need then yes I believe that would sinful to strike for more millions.
