Sorry. Perhaps you misunderstood me. I was trying to point out that there are differences in people’s opinions about many things. You know what they say about opinions… like a certain part of the anatomy, everyone has one and most of them stink.Just like many Nazis “truly believed” that Jews were sub-humans.
Except that they commit or support murder.
But that’s a far cry from commiting or supporting murder.
People can believe a certain way for many reasons, or no reason at all. Still, they have that belief. This is regardless of whether or not that belief is moral or not, philosophically sound or not, reasonable or not, logically consistent or not.
For example, there are varied opinions about the role of the Supreme Court of the United States. There are some who argue that the Court should only interpret the written word of the constitution. There are others who may argue that the Court should promote the Founders intent… as they see it.
These views can be argued back and forth… and undoubtably (sp?), some views are better supported, logical, and reasoned than others.
However, regardless of one’s view on what the Supreme Court should be or do, it is something entirely different than stating that the United States didn’t really have a Supreme Court until 1856. That’s just ignorance of history… or deliberate disengenuity.
