Are promises or blessings attached to wearing The medal of St.Michael?

I’ve read about the history, blessings and promises of the medal of St. Benedict (which is really an inspiring medal). This has lead me to wonder if there are blessings or promises attributed to the medal of St.Michael? St.Michael is the Saint I choose when I was baptized, yet I have never heard about the background of his medal. Any info will be appreciated.

I don’t know, either. All I know is that if I wore a medal with an “image” of St. Michael on it I would be constantly reminded of his strength and loyalty to God. He is one of my personal heroes (hence, my user name) and I really wish I had picked the name “Michael” for my Confirmation name. As I am female and was young I never even considered doing this. Now that I’m older I can see that it makes no difference whether the saint one chooses is male or female (and for that matter, angels don’t have a gender, do they?) so it wouldn’t have mattered.

Oh well…

I’d be interested in knowing, too. 😊
