Are Protestants allowed to study writings of Christian Authors?

I see absolutely no reason why Protestants would not be able to read the ECFs. Whether they would want to is another story. I’m sure some would and probably do, though.

no there is none. neither neither the protestant nor the catholic denominations encourage such readings. NONE at all.

We’re encouraged to read The Church Fathers.

After all, we practice the doctrines revealed by them.

Where do you get your misinformation that we are not encouraged to read The Church Fathers?
