Are St. Malachy's predictions valid?

please comment on the accuracy of St. Malachy’s preditions of the Popes. The first Pope in his list was given the number 1. Pope Benedict is the 111th pope in the Saint’s list. And there is only one more left. His name will be Peter the Roman and he will be the last pope - number 112. Should I believe what I have read to be true? Help.
