I’m really contemplating getting a tattoo. I was told that the prayer Vine, Santus, Spiritus (Come Holy Spirit) always works. I wanted to tattoo it on my wrist so I would never forget it. Would that be acceptable?

Old Testament prohibitions regarding tattoos are considered ceremonial laws and thus are not binding on Christians. There is nothing inherently immoral about a Catholic having a tattoo. What would make a tattoo immoral would be its content/message/purpose. A tattoo of a religious image or wording would clearly not be immoral. However prudential judgment is needed. This is, after all, a fairly permanent addition to your body and therefore requires great thought and consideration.
