Are the Eucharistic miracles held on display still consecrated hosts?

Ex. The Miracle of Lanciano, which took place in 750. Does it still hold the true presence of the Lord?

A. We should spend sufficient time in Thanksgiving after Holy Communion to show due reverence to the Blessed Sacrament; for Our Lord is personally with us as long as the appearance of bread and wine remains.

Once consecrated always consecrated, that’s why there’s a special way of discarding of Hosts that have fallen to the ground, or why minuscule crumbs falling is so grevious, the Lord is fully present in it!

By that standard, the Miracle of Lanciano never held the Real Presence, since when it changed into the Body and Blood of Christ, the appearance changed as well as the substance.

Miracles are singular events. If the appearance of the Body and Blood continues, then the Real Presence probably does as well, since the appearance signifies the Presence. At least, that is what I think the Church’s endorsement of the miracle means.

So then it should be a simple matter to produce a statement from the Catholic Church that there is the Real Presence in the reliquary at the Church of San Francesco, Lanciano.
 
Yes, however a point should be made… While the accidents conform to a particular part of the Lord’s Body, in reality it is His entire Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, under the shape of that particular tissue. In other words, it looks like part of Christ is there, but actually all of Him is there.
