Hello,
Are the HG and Shekinah glory the same thing? This question is for everyone, not just Catholics. I'm under the impression they are. The Shekinah glory went wherever the ark went and people had to watch their p's and q's or get zapped. In Acts The HG hung around Peter and the people had to be careful then too.

The Shekinah glory of God is more like
an attribute of God whereas the Holy
Spirit is another person who IS God.
“Ascribe to the Lord, O families of
Nations, ascribe to the Lord glory
and strength, ascribe to the Lord the
glory due His Name” Ps. 96:7-8
When Solomon dedicated the Temple of
the Lord, the glory of the Lord filled the
Sanctuary like a cloud so that the priests
could not enter in 2 Chron. 5:14 So the
Cloud is another attribute of God.
In the New Testament, the Holy Spirit’s
descent on the day of Pentecost is
described as a violent wind, of tongues
of fire. These, too are attributes of God,
the Holy Spirit. see Acts 2 The “cloud of
witnesses” in Hebrews 12:1 is the shining
examples of the Saints of God and they
show the Shekinah glory of God by their
lives of Faith in the Living God!!

I recall reading… to “Shekinah” meant to dwell. The Shekinah may have been a specific way the Holy Ghost dwelt, and manifested presence. As a Catholic, it may mean the Trinity was dwelling at a specific place, veiled in a cloud. I think the Shekinah was a very specific way God dwelt, and manifested himself to the Hebrews.
