Are the holidays Pagan in origin?

I continually hear people refer to the holidays as being pagan. How do I approach people who claim Constantine changed Christian holidays into pagan holidays? I hope you can understand the question, because I am not sure I presented it correctly. Thank you so much. God Bless you.
