I’m an altar boy in the philippines our MC told us that if you miss one of the masses on those three days then you didn’t complete the mass is that true?

Do you mean “Holy Saturday”?

"The summit of the Liturgical Year is the Easter Triduum—from the evening of Holy Thursday to the evening of Easter Sunday. Though chronologically three days, they are liturgically one day unfolding for us the unity of Christ’s Paschal Mystery.

The single celebration of the Triduum marks the end of the Lenten season, and leads to the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord at the Easter Vigil.
The liturgical services that take place during the Triduum are:

Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion
Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord"

Read much more at http://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-worship/liturgical-year/triduum/index.cfm

Edit to add: The first two liturgies, on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday are not obligatory. The Easter Vigil is not obligatory, you may satisfy the Easter Sunday obligation at any of the Easter Sunday Masses as well.

Your MC did not quite get his facts straight.

Thank you for serving our Church!

Right. It seems like he took the point about how the Triduum can, in a sense, be viewed as one liturgical day and then extrapolated from that an erroneous conclusion.

The MC is not correct. You might relay that to the pastor for clarification on church teaching regarding mass attendance during the Triduum for all altar servers who were told this.

To what I noticed our parish priest didn’t make any sign of the cross during the start of good Friday nor did he give last blessings at maundy Thursday and good Friday and he didn’t start the mass at eastern vigil with the sign of the cross but during the easter vigil he did give the final blessing.

The Triduum is indeed considered to be one continuous Liturgy. However, the conclusion that one must attend “everything or nothing” is not anything said by the Church.

Thank you! Atleast it will ease confusion. I wouldn’t blame our MC he’s just over stressed so he might’ve gotten confused.
