Are there any books that serve as a sort of intro to classical theism?

I’m coming to learn that God is significantly different than the overly anthropomorphic image I’ve had of Him and I’d like to learn more.

You might find Brian Davies’ books to be helpful. He explains some of the differences in his Introduction to the Philosophy of Religion, particularly chapters 1 and 7-9. Also, Ludwig Ott explains some of the classic Christian doctrines regarding the divine attributes in his Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma. A .pdf copy can be found here. I can probably find some other sources if you are interested but these are good places to start. Blessings.
 
Oh yes, and I forgot to mention, the Church’s doctrine regarding the Holy Trinity makes it very difficult to view God in an anthropomorphic manner. It is very difficult to think of a human analogue where we have only one being but three persons at the same time! Reflection on this mystery may be helpful and it should be very easy to find sources regarding this (the Catechism for starters). Hope that is helpful, let me know if you would like more sources.
