Are ther any former Catholics who got baptized again when they joined another Christian religion? Did it feel wierd? Did you feel indifferent because you were a baby and weren’t given a choice?

I was baptized when I was a toddler in the Catholic church and was re baptized as a young adult at the Baptists church that I attended at that time. It felt a little weird to be dunked in a pool of water. A choice to be baptized as a toddler was not an issue for me instead was glad that I was baptized as a toddler once I reverted back to Catholism. That was a blessing. God bless.

I was baptized Catholic…was looking into getting the other sacrements done… but upon further investigation, decided that Catholic religion wasn’t for me. I know if I was to convert to another Christian religion, that I would probably have to get baptized again because…of no being aware of it as a infant.

Please dont leave the church. This is the Church of Christ. It is undeniable. The Catholic church is about a complete close personal relationship with Jesus. We become one flesh with him at communion and offer ourselves with him to GOD in service. The sacraments help us maintain fidelity to that relationship. Please do not separate yourself without getting the truthful answers to your questions. Please be sure you get accurate answers from people or media which know the faith. Far too many times people leave and then get wrong information and become bitter. None of us can answer all your questions. It will take some faith on your part. Please dont leave.

I thank you for your concern, but truth be told, I don’t agree with all doctrines and would be considered a cafeteria Catholic. I give religion too much respect to no follow the doctrine of it.

No need to be baptized again. The Anglican church recognizes all of the sacrements I received when I was Catholic.

The Birth Control issue. The Church advising on how a maritial couple should conduct their “relations”. The denial of sacrements because of my “invalid” marriage. (My athiest husband) Might make convalidating my marriage difficult.

I understand another religion may be more tolerant of your choices, but are your choices in full communion with GOD’s design of marital love ? Are the beliefs of this religion you are seeking in full communion with GOD’s design of marital love ? Not to answer here publicaly, just ask yourself. Without a doubt I am not judging you or your husband. I would say yall are both good people. I pray for you and your husband to come into that full communion with the church.

biggest difference was that for decades I never knew what the Holy Spirit felt like. Being Anglican for a few years now, I have experienced the Holy Spirit and have built a much deeper stronger faith in Christ. Why would one want to leave a church where the Holy Spirit has been experienced?

Hopefully you are using a bible which contains all of the books.During the daily Catholic mass, the bible is read with the community gathered. Apart from daily mass, we have bible study groups and many of us have formed smaller spiritual groups. We believe that the charitable works we do for others is the result of our knowing the love of Jesus. I dont want to get into a combative argument with you because without a doubt we already know what the other will write about the beliefs in Salvation.
I am really regretful you didnt experience the fellowship in the Catholic church. To answer your question of why would you leave the Anglican church where you feel the Holy Spirit. I would ask you to come back and bring that fellowship to the Catholic church. I know we can do better. “Mass” means to go out and evangelize. Remeber you said you had no problems with the sacraments.
