Are there organizations that send free Catholic Bibles?
I live in Europe (France) and I recently came back to the Catholic Church (see my first post). Several protestant organizations (like the Gideons) send free Bibles but I was wondering if Catholic organizations did the same thing because I am looking for a Catholic Bible in English (like the Douay-Rheims Bible for example). Free bibles are often distributed hand to hand locally, but I have not found a permanent source. However you can get a used Catholic bible starting at 46 cents from Amazon.com. See

Knights of Columbus have found free bibles for us on several occassions, in English and Spanish, for various evangelizing efforts. try your local council.
