I saw a very old one years ago, I’m sure it’s good, it was a good story even in the Bible.

How about the Chronicles of Narnia? They aren’t explicitly Catholic, but have a lot of Christian imagery.

I don’t really like that movie. Its too “out of this world” for me. Haha.

I agree. The last I heard they had only made 3. Are they making g the other 4?

I wish someone would make movies about C S Lewis’ Space Trilogy.

I would recommend the God’s Not Dead series and especially Risen which is brilliant. It basically is a movie of Acts of the Apostles. Watch it right after you watch The Passion of Christ, it’s a great addition to the story.

After I watched Risen I was also very interested to read through the entirety of Acts of the Apostles which is exactly what you want from a religious movie - encouraging viewers to engage more deeply with their faith after the movie

I watched Risen yesterday. Good movie. But to be frank, I was a little spooked by the actor’s facial expression of dead Jesus during the crucifixion scene.

Life Of Christ
The Promise
anything by The Christophers or Fr Patrick Peyton

I’ve heard that The Silver Chair will be made by Netflix (the 4th book in order of publication, but not in chronology).

Entertaining Angels is about Dorothy Day, founder of the Catholic worker movement.

Into Great Silence is a documentary about Carthusians.
Watching it is like going on a retreat.

Angela’s Christmas, childs film but I enjoyed it very much. On netflix

I watched this already. Very good story inspired by real events.
