Are there Visionaries today?

I went to a group in which a woman visualized a 20 ft. Angel in the room. I didn’t see anything but she kept seeing it there in the room. I tried to see it but I couldn’t. I’m sure today we have visionaries especially those of Our Blessed Mothers’. Many probably well intended people get caught up in seeing visions or perhaps I’m wrong. I may need to be praying more. Any visionaries out there that would like to share a strong story of your experience?
 
The apparition has to be approved by the Church to be deemed worthy of belief.
There is suppose to be no private revelation per forum rules.

A thread I sometimes read in the backfence forum area is called “End Times Speculation”; these threads are very lengthy and there have been a number of them. So it’s not always easy to follow the conversation though people are helpful if you have a question.
 
If you mean by a visionary someone who has a number of visions, the last thing such a person would want to happen would be for people generally to know about it.
It is likely that a number of people have had a vision. Visions though do not mean a person is holy, since it is not visions but faith, hope and live in particular which are the important thing to a person’s spiritual well being.

I agree, we can get caught up in all kinds of weird situations if we follow anybody’s imagination. God Bless, Memaw

I dont know if I am a visionary but I do see things on occasions. There was this one time I was out on a walk and I saw me standing in a field and a dove was flying towards me holding a scroll. it landed on me and gave me the scroll, there was a seal on it and I dont know what the scroll said but the second I accepted it my eyes light up and were like blazing fire. Somehow I knew that in that exact moment many other believers around the world experienced the same thing and then it ended.

I have no idea the meaning of what I saw but sometimes things like that happen to me

N I C E… in your sleep or up and about do you have your experiences.
 
Yes, and I have known many, mostly non-Catholic Christians, but a few were Catholic. We generally don’t talk about such spiritual things because the consensus is that we are all crazy.

God bless those that others call crazy.
 
Mother Angelica has shared visions she has had, St Michael appeared to her showing her where to build the first radio station, which is now EWTN Television.

Then, the Baby Jesus smiled at her when she being called to build the new Church and monastery in Alabama.

However, in all cases, these are private revelations and unless approved by the Church, must be taken with a grain of salt.
