I have a particular friend around whom I frequently find that make a very, quick, momentary decision to do or say something which, in that moment, I realize I am in doubt about. This usually happens at least once or twice when I am with this person. Are such decisions sins? If so, does this mean my friend is a near occasion of sin?

(I actually included this question in part of another longer post about scrupulosity, but I decided to ask it as an individual question as well)

Since you mention scrupulosity I will refer you to getting a “regular confessor” who can guide you in these matters and give or confirm certain principles for you to follow if you struggle with such. For those with scruples can be in a different boat.

Can you clarify? Are you saying that you feel impulsive around this person?
