Are those with SSA discouraged from marrying?

Oh yeah, no if you are struggling with SSA at the time of considering marriage you need to talk to a priest before making a commitment to a future spouse. I mean I dont think even having constant sexual thoughts of even other people of the opposite sex is right if you believe in loving your spouse with everything you have (including thoughts that can be controlled). If you cant control your sexual thoughts of others this needs to be addressed before making a commitment to be one forever with someone.

Jesus said anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already commited adultry with her in his heart. I think this means any sexual thoughts you can control of anyone other than your spouse is sin. I suppose the question is whether you can control your thoughts or not?

Your post does make a lot of sense to me. I think that we can often tend to get distracted by our personal preferences and feelings, thinking that they are the most important thing. But in marriage, the most important thing is the decision we make to our spouse to love with permanence and fidelity, forsaking all others, until death.
Yes I think so… Honestly I think if I absolutely had to put a label on “my sexuality” as society is found of… it would be “demisexual”. And really in my personal opinion this is Gods way, because love is supposed to come alway before sex. I think original sin flipped it. But its just my view… like they say men are very physical. But often I think my husband is also “demisexual” because I notice when my love is purest and passionate thats what turns him on intensely… more than anything else. He also told me many times what made me the most beautiful to him was my heart. He is EXTREMELY handsome but I wasnt attracted to him until I got to know his heart. So I dont really know about all the labels the world gives sexuality…

Nope, that’s not what it means. The New Testament distinguishes two different kinds of desire: one type involves choice and the other does not. We are not responsible for passing thoughts which we do not control.

Thats what Im saying. I think if you can control and produce the thoughts its sin. But if you cant its just attraction.
