6, 66 and 666 are all triangular number

but as we go further 6666 ,66666 and so on are not.

So 666 is the last triangular number of that series.

This is something strange about 666.

Oh, there are so many strange things about 666. I have a mathematical curiosities book which has several pages full of amazing mathematical properties of 666. It’s great fun, and not at all morally perilous. I would be more worried about 2019.

You can find strange things with every number. You can also find patterns in every series of numbers.

Apparently if you write 666 using Hebrew numbers you will get the Herbrew version of the name Nero.

The traditional Catholic homeschool curriculum I use for my kids has triangles in every grade. Church architecture requires triangles. Etc. So I’m guessing not evil. Is pythagoras satan? Possibly. But triangles are not. In fact they are often used to represent the Trinity.

In general, biblical numerology and general math dont mix. 4 represents earth, 10 and multiples of ten represent completeness and power as does 3 and 7. 7, 3, and 10 are seen as holy numbers. I will amend my previous answer to say that triangles can be used in wiccan and pagan rituals. Like pentagrams and such.

Triangles aren’t satanic and in fact are a symbol of the Holy Trinity because they have three sides/ three points in one shape.

As someone else said, 666 was a code word for Nero.

Yeah I was always taught that and it’s true about Nero. BUT, revelation is a book written about the past, the present, and the future. So nero, the devil in the world today, and what will be to come at the final judgement of the world.

It was meant to encourage early Christians undergoing persecution under Nero and his ilk. I believe most scholars think it was written in about 96 AD which would have been after Nero’s reign as Nero died in 68 AD (and there were about 6 emperors between Nero and 96 AD), so it was not a prophecy of Nero as he was already done and gone.
At the time of the writing of the book, Domitian was emperor and he also persecuted Christians.

From the USCCB:
The Book of Revelation cannot be adequately understood except against the historical background that occasioned its writing. Like Daniel and other apocalypses, it was composed as resistance literature to meet a crisis. The book itself suggests that the crisis was ruthless persecution of the early church by the Roman authorities; the harlot Babylon symbolizes pagan Rome, the city on seven hills (Rev 17:9). The book is, then, an exhortation and admonition to Christians of the first century to stand firm in the faith and to avoid compromise with paganism, despite the threat of adversity and martyrdom; they are to await patiently the fulfillment of God’s mighty promises. The triumph of God in the world of men and women remains a mystery, to be accepted in faith and longed for in hope. It is a triumph that unfolded in the history of Jesus of Nazareth and continues to unfold in the history of the individual Christian who follows the way of the cross, even, if necessary, to a martyr’s death.

If you simply google “Catholic Book of Revelation” you will find much Catholic commentary that explains, puts in historical context, or links with the Old Testament the Book of Revelation.

Here is just one piece for example:
https://www.smp.org/resourcecenter/resource/2658/

Many more discussions of it from a Catholic perspective are out there, and some people have even written whole books of Catholic interpretations.

Is it not time to throw away such blind and absurd beliefs that certain geometrical figures or numbers are holy or satanic?

You can throw away the superstition that numbers are satanic. Numbers are just numbers, God made them all, the only thing satanic is Satan. You might as well avoid goats on a farm because the goat is sometimes a symbol for Satan…that would just be dumb.

But some numbers do have special significance from a holy standpoint. The number 3 for example, because it represents the Trinity, and there are many other things in threes such as the three theological virtues, Jesus spent three days in the tomb, etc. The number 7 also; there are seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, seven sorrows of Mary, seven corporal works of mercy, seven spiritual works of mercy, seven deadly sins, etc. When I was a child I had a book that showed all the places where there were threes and sevens in Catholicism. These things can be interesting and fun, but one doesn’t take them as superstition.

Ok.Just consider the mention of some numbers in various contexts as interesting and fun but need not try to classify the numbers as holy or otherwise due to this ,which is superstition.

all seeing eye can represent Omnipresence of God as well as trinity. And that pyramid thing reminds us of God helping Israelites escape from Egypt.

But 666 is also a triangular number. And the eye can also be of Lucifer/the devil/satan or whatever you wanna call him.

Also, the eye of providence is also a masonic and an ancient egyptian symbol. And paul said that anything dedicated to pagan gods is evil.

Titus 1:15
to the pure , all things are pure.
to the defiled, all things are defiled.

So it’s upto you how wanna look at them.

Things are moraly neutral.

The main thing is intent.

Having said that, I seem to have answered my own question. 😌

A triangle is no more or less satanic than a pentagram. 😁
