Yes as sure as Jesus Christ was born the " Word " became Flesh, died and has Arisen, it is true +++

Just a small question: How do you explain that we and Muslims worship the same God in light of Quran 3:54, which says that Allah is the greatest of deceivers, if you translate it correctly?

Thanks for sharing such an interesting question! The following are some points I consider to reconcile the worship of the same God, given Allah is the greatest of deceivers:

Here is my Scriptural reconciliation:
-Jeremiah 32:27 “…I am the Lord the God of all flesh…”
-Isaiah 45:7 “…I (the Lord) make peace and create evil…”
-Leviticus 19:11 “…You shall not lie, neither shall any man deceive his neighbour.”
-Since deception is something we should not do, surely it is evil, and according to Jeremiah and Isaiah, the Lord creates evil.

Here is my Catholic Teaching reconciliation, in accordance with Scripture:
-Nicene Creed: “…the Holy Spirit, the Lord…”
-1 Corinthians 6:19: “…your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you…”
Since Catholic Teaching and Scripture declares the Lord to distinctly be the third person of God, as well being within us, then I can understand times in which we create evil and are deceitful in efforts to grow in righteousness as one body.

Here is my logical reconciliation:
-I perceive doing one’s best to live as a human, as the Lord within us.
-I perceive doing the best to live as a human, as the Lord God, Jesus Christ.
-I perceive living the best, as God.
Many times one’s best effort to live as a human results in deceit in the form of white lies or incomplete truths. Although these are not the best practices in living and in time will be overcome, there are times in which these are the best practices possible.

To sum it up, given “Allah is the greatest of deceivers,” I perceive Allah as “doing one’s best to live as a human,” which I perceive as the Lord within us. Especially considering that many times pride causes us to deceitfully believe that our best effort to live is the best effort to living, which is the greatest of deceptions because of the tremendous loss in living.

Once again, thanks for sharing the intriguing question! I look forward to further discussion!
