Try not to discern your spiritual state by feelings. Feelings lie. I’ve heard it said that the devil attacks Catholics more than non Catholics. This has been my experience too. Ever since I’ve became a Catholic I’ve been attacked more and it has been difficult in some ways, but there has also been a lot of joy too… try to receive the Eucharist as often as you can in a state of grace. Frequent Communion is what gives us strength, it’s what gives us spiritual life. Don’t rely on yourself but on God. And focus on choices, not on feelings.

God bless

This is very true! 🙂 Though we should to the extent we can try to form our feelings to best support our love of God.

We do not appreciate God and His will enough, the more we appreciate Him the more joy and peace we should feel. 🙂
