Are we Catholics the 'New Jews'?

That’s actually an interesting question. Our Mother was a Jew, and she is spiritually our mother… so… 🤷 :eek:
 
Why would Catholics adopt the term “Jew” - one which connotes it’s own meaning and tradition? I suppose Catholics could claim to be the temple line of Israelites/Hebrews, but not Jews or Judaism.
