SPOKENWORD:
Justin, I agree Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. We as christians are grafted into the vine, and then we become part of the vine. A branch does not make us a vine.,for we cannot survive without the vine. Just like christians are part of the Body Of Christ. Without the Head we cannot survive. We are not Christ, just a part of Him. 👍
Can we agree that we are Christ to the extent that He has incorporated us into Himself and that we remain in Him?

I think we may be using words differently here. That is just a guess, but it may be a matter of confusing such things as “person” and “nature” in our dialogue, without even using the terms, or coming to a mutually understood definition of them.

Justin,I really dont want to be divided by the misunderstanding of our words. I will respect what you believe but I will stand on what I have said. I,m sorry I just have a hard time saying I am Christ. Peace of Christ be with you.

Perhaps I will add three more verses from Scripture. They speak better then I do.

Gal 2:19-20 “19 For through the law I died to the law, that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ; 20 yet I live, no longer I, but Christ lives in me; insofar as I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who has loved me and given himself up for me.”

This was a powerful verse. Substitute ‘works’ for ‘lives’ since Jesus lives within us and He works through us. Reread it with ‘work’ in place of ‘live’ and see what happens? Very interesting for the RC’s?

The following verse pretty much sums up the message of the entire Bible.

Eph 4:7-16 “one body and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of your call; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. 7 But grace was given to each of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore, it says: “He ascended on high and took prisoners captive; he gave gifts to men.” 9 What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended into the lower (regions) of the earth? 10 The one who descended is also the one who ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things. 11 And he gave some as apostles, others as prophets, others as evangelists, others as pastors and teachers, 12 to equip the holy ones for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the extent of the full stature of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be infants, tossed by waves and swept along by every wind of teaching arising from human trickery, from their cunning in the interests of deceitful scheming. 15 Rather, living the truth in love, we should grow in every way into him who is the head, Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, with the proper functioning of each part, brings about the body’s growth and builds itself up in love.”

The ‘Catholic’ Church is the body of Christ and we are each a part of His body, the ‘Catholic’ Church. (This is not only the RCC) Christ is the head, Catholics are the body.

Jn 6:56 “56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.

Scripture speaks, “see” what it says.
