Depends whether humor is allowed in heaven :p.

But consider, why play sport, what are the benefits? Physical education, but is heaven physical? Health, but can you get sick in heaven? Well-being, but can you get depressed in heaven?

Anyway, after the Catholics lose to the Baptists a trillion times, as they surely must, wouldn’t even Baptists get a bit bored and move on?

I am sorry. Baptists will not be playing with the Catholics. According to a Baptist friend of mine we will be in a big walled part as we think only Catholics are going there. So no cheering or loud noises or you will break the allusion.
But seriously I am outraged at this breakout of humour on this thread. I would have expected it to be closed by now. Where is the deep analysis of the apotheosis of the theology of The Word. Where is the crisp debate on the truth behind the Filioque?
I am beside myself with righteous indignation (which I find on a lot of threads). AND nobody has mentioned Rugby!!!

I don’t know why God is going to wall your soccer team in. Is it those pointy hats which burst the ball every time you try to make a header? Whatever, obviously the Ref’s decision is final.

Agreed about rugby. Though there’s no reason why NFL can’t be kept for the sissies, wussies and wimps. 😃
 
If anybody dies and awakes playing soccer, you can be assured that they did not make it to Heaven.

hee hee,…but why not play soccer, I am thinking about our super bodies, no aging no disease, we will be forever young and vigorous! why not soccer,…
think back to the garden of Eden when God dwelt with Adam and Eve, at least he personally walked in the garden,…because they heard his steps, and they enjoyed him face to face, and we will enjoy Him face to face, maybe He will play soccer with us,
I want Him on our team

no better yet, let’s all play on one team, God as our captain, and let’s play against the angels!!!

Football (soccer) is the most popular sport in the world.
They really have to implement the use of witness-cameras by the referees during the game. But why the N. A. people did not want to play english-football? Why did they modified the game? Was it because of the War of Independence?
