Why don’t we ever hear the term “revolution” in the media? Is the revolution planned or is it taking place randomly? Will the revolution eventual bring people closer to God?
Hmm…I think the revolution has already taken place. It was the internet, basically. Now are just the after-effects, spin-offs, and innovations from that. Why don’t we ever hear the term “revolution” in the media? Is the revolution planned or is it taking place randomly? Will the revolution eventual bring people closer to God?
I agree.I wonder if any man-made invention leads us to God. Instead everything eventually seems to sink to the lowest level of depravity. EG:
Movies - started great, funny, uplifting (even with no sound and no special effects) and now most are smut, trash, sexist and stupid.
Radio - the boon of civilization, the miracle of instant communication. Now, top 40, rap, and NPR.
TV - wholesome, family programs, lots of Catholic shows. Now, you can’t even watch for 5 minutes without a Viagra commercial. The shows themselves are full of violence, sex, and gross behavior.
Cell phones - wonderful! Communication! Teens sexting.
When the internet was first going commercial, all we could get was the Smithsonian Institute. All demos were connecting with that august institution and everyone stood around amazed and thrilled, this would bring education to the masses, this would revolutionize access to knowledge and help children. What is most internet usage? Porn, stupid blogs with people “yelling”, meaningless Twitter statements, etc.
Sure there is some good and bad in any invention. But leading to God? That I just don’t see.
