Are we married in the Church?

Who did you talk to?? There’s no such thing as an optional convalidation. It’s only done if it’s required.
It makes me crazy that I know the accurate information and everything I do for my parish is as a volunteer. Meanwhile, people who get paid give out wrong info.
 
Nope, I’m married to an Anglican and converted. He hasn’t. We are both baptized and were married in a church (Methodist). We’re all good. :+1:t3:

People who know the faith well should present themselves for employment.
That would help.
Those who get incorrect info should then report it to the pastor. You don’t have to nasty about it, just say “Father I became very upset when someone told me I was not properly married and should not receive communion. It was not true, and I just thought you should know, because I would hate for someone else to hurt like we were”.
