Are we obligated to have children?

My fiance and I are getting married in a few months. We are planning on practicing NFP. Although we would be financially able to support a child, we were planning on postponing pregnancy. We would like to travel, and would like to move to a bigger house, and would prefer to adapt to our new lives as a married couple before we commit to raising a child. Are these circumstances a valid reason to postpone pregnancy?
