I came into the Catholic Church from the Assemblies of God Easter 2004. The hardest thing about the process was not being able to receive the Eucharist during that time. As one who had been receiving Holy Communion ever since I was a child, had served the elements to others and even prayed the prayers before serving the Body and Blood (thought it wasn’t called that) it was the most difficult thing in the world not to receive. That and not knowing if there would be any ministry for me to work in, since I had trained to be a pastor and ministry is my passion. Next to Jesus and my family. I’d go be a priest, but, well…I’m a woman. But how wonderful it must be to be able to consecrate the Host all the time! Oh, well. God has opened other doors for me.
