I travelled a long and winding road from atheism to a brief flirtation with Jehovah’s witnesses to the Baptist Union then a short stay with the Assembly of God and a very long and happy stay with a small Presbyterian denomination followed by a few years as an atheist and finally the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church has such breadth and depth that for me it is an adventure into God that I pray will never end.

Was a vague Christian most of my life, before really beginning to doubt the whole religion as a whole at the age of 21. I looked at Islam and Hinduism before finding Sikhi, and finally finding the happiness and truth I was looking for. And here I am, learning about all the faiths I can, as a Sikh should!

Heathen>Protestant (Pentecostal)>Heathen again>Roman Catholic at 39 years old.

I have a long way to go, but I have conquered a ton of sin as a Catholic that I never did as a Protestant. Probably because if you’re a Protestant you really don’t have to.

Long live the RCC!!!

👍

I was Born into the Mormon Covenant to TBM parents (my Mum was a cradle Catholic until her family converted to the LDS faith sometime in the 70s, my Dad was Presbytarian who converted to LDS in his mid 20s), I was very active in the church until I was about 18’ completely left when i was 19 (2006). I didn’t identify myself with any religion but still believed in Christianity. I married my (catholic) husband in 2009 in the Catholic Church, had my children baptized in the Catholic Church & finally decided to enrol into RCIA earlier this year. I will be baptised in October 🙂

Welcome home~! :hug3:

Baptized Episcopalian, religion of my father. By the time I was old enough to sit through the service, my father had stopped going and my mother saw no reason to take me there by herself since she was Catholic.

I only remember “being” Catholic since I started Catholic school in Kindergarten. I officially joined the Church in 2nd grade, in order to become an altar boy and receive the sacraments. I don’t remember much about the conversation process, I was only 7. I recall a short talk with the priest and a blessing.

I am not allowed to vote. Don’t know why.

I am converted from Atheism → Catholicism

I have grown up in Budhism background.
If you’ve ever been a Jehovah’s Witness, that might explain why you can’t vote! 😉

I’m more of what you can call a philosophical revert

Roman Catholic<lukewarm/deistic Roman Catholic< Roman Catholic feeling a call to priesthood in the Society of Jesus.
