I am a Protestant who likes listening to EWTN radio programming, everything from Dr Ray to Called to Communion, Al Kresta, and of course Catholic Answers Live. I even contribute to my local Catholic radio affiliate because I feel it’s only fair to do so since I listen so much to it and benefit from it.

Just curious if you listen/watch EWTN. If so, what is your favorite show? If you are Catholic and don’t like EWTN for whatever reason, please explain why, if it’s not too personal. Much appreciated.

I love their radio programs. They were instrumental to my conversion several years ago. I would listen on the way to and from work, and when I was at home.

I think Called to Communion is my fave. Dr. Anders is really smart!

Yes, Dr Anders seems to be like a human computer when it comes to Bible and Church information and the ability to convey it.

I also discovered it on the way home from work one day.

I really like watching the daily mass on EWTN. My husband and I are joining the church this year and have only been attending mass since September or so, so watching the daily mass program helps us continue to learn and understand the order of mass, and is also just really restorative to have on at the end of a work day.

Called to Communion is my favorite. Dr. Anders can really blow your mind some days.

Also enjoy Open line Monday

I am a big fan of EWTN. I really enjoy the daily mass. We are lucky enough to only live a couple hours north of where it all started.

The Roku ap even though it’s buggy has really good content as well.

Yeah, you can tell Dr Anders lives and breathes Church, faith, and Bible history and related info.

Roku ap? Not sure what that is/does. Is that for Catholic programming?

Roku is a device that connects to a TV that basically turns it into a streaming device. It allows “apps” like on a smart phone to be ran on the tv. We bought a Roku and do not have a physical cable subscription anymore for television viewing. EWTN is a free application you can download and watch on Roku. You can watch the channel live or pick programs on demand.

I mostly listen to the radio station.
I like Johnette Williams and Dr Ray.

Sometimes they play old Father Groshel.

Used to, however, sadly between the 1982 production style and politics I stopped watching.

I do watch CatholicTV, they have higher production style also.

Just curious what CatholicTV is and how it differs from EWTN. I don’t think I have access to it that I am aware of. I had assumed EWTN was the only Catholic network in USA.

I don’t mind Raymond Arroyo. I just wish he’d finally learn how to pronounce Laetitia. 😉

Love World Over Live with Raymond Arroyo. He had a great interview tonight with Gary Sinise.

Also Web of Faith is great. Very clear Catholic teaching from two very good priests.
