I’m glad you like him and have sound reasons for liking him. That’s perfectly ok. To me, he is too influenced by his American political views, and tries to apply them in situations where they have little to no relevance. He isn’t my cup of tea.

In my opinion, Archbishop Vigano is following Cat. 907 and canon 212 § 3 and Ephesians 4:25-26. He is revealing the perversion that is a problem and entrenched in the Vatican and showing light on all that is going on. He is trying to clean the Church out from the muck that is hurting the Church. Who’s going to clean the Church out? Are we to continue to remain blind and stick our heads in the sand pretending everything is to God’s will, or are we to step out to expose the devil, “the smoke of Satan” inside the Church. Archbishop Vigano tried everything to prevent this going public, but tried to speak to Pope Francis about this, but was shunned by the pope. So as the last resort, to prevent further sexual abuse where people are being hurt, he spoke out publicly. Why should he remain silent as people are being hurt? Why should he remain silent as the swamp in the Church continue to rot the Church from inside out? To prevent going on and on, I’ll just end this, by concluding “this is my opinion”. Bishops and Pope are servants of our Lord, not masters. They are not above being criticized when they are guilty of doing wrong. Hopefully through criticism, they will wake up to the problems rotting the Church away.

His job is to provide news in what’s going on, and his so-called negative stuff is important stuff. He is bringing to surface the confusion among bishops and faithful which at times, need to be spoken about. (Ave Maria Gratia Plena)
Agree. His show is a mix of what is happening in the Catholic church (news) and interviews with different guests. Sometimes what is happening in the Church is hard to hear but very important to hear also.
Not being aware of what is happening would cause us to be complacent in our praying for our Pope, bishops and priests…

I also however, watch the show on You Tube. I don’t watch EWTN. They have had amazing results from such clearly modest resources. However, I also don’t think it’s appropriate that they take such a strongly right wing political line. I agree it makes it very much a channel that is giving an American (USA) right-wing flavour to the Church. Sometimes I look for a Catholic show on-line or on the Radio and instead get a right-wing rant, rather than attempting to be more expressive of the universal church. I hear that they were now owned by the Legionaires of Christ, as is Zenit and the Catholic Register. Is that still the case? I do not identify with any political party in the USA but do consider myself an orthodox believer. I would prefer a more measured and balanced look at politics from a Catholic standpoint, or none at all.
Just to clarify, EWTN purchased the National Catholic Register from the Legion of Christ a few years ago and still owns it. EWTN in fact sometimes runs ads for the Register.

I wasn’t aware EWTN had a radio program. I do listen to Relevant Radio, formerly Immaculate Heart Radio, daily and really enjoy most of their programming.

EWTN has a radio broadcasting arm, many programs that they offer to your local station.

Thank you signet, yes you’re absolutely right! I’m getting myself all confused…

Catholic League is great, I know they defend Catholic values. I had no idea about how they have accused others.

Jesus went into the desert looking for a fight and His Mother told us the final battle will be the attack on marriage and the family. Well here we are. Politics is an instrument in spiritual warfare and as it stands there are pretty clear battle lines with the liberal democratic political ideology that lays waste to the life teachings of Jesus as depicted in the five Catholic non negotiables.

. I wish they would do a new rosary show with a current nun. I think people would rather pray the rosary with somebody who is still living.
I personally, just want to see Mother Angelica’s and Fr Mitch’s rosary programs altho I’m okay with the Rosary from Lourdes.

On EWTN radio in the evenings, there’s a Father Benedict Groeschel rosary that’s pretty good too.

What time? I’d love to hear it. Do you happen to know if his was ever taped for airing on TV?

Praise God for faithful believers. I agree with you regarding the family, marriage and especially human sexuality. As a family we work diligently to promote the church’s teachings.

I like Called to Communion, EWTN Live, and Open Line. I also listen to Catholic answers on EWTN radio sometimes. I have a landline phone and I like being able to call a number and listen to the radio on it (I have a cell phone, but I used that for other things).

Just curious. Whats wrong with the Catholic League?
Bill Donohue is what’s wrong with the Catholic League. For many reasons but we could start with his response to the PA grand jury report.

Don’t know about tv, but it seems like it was 7:30 or 8 pm central time.
8:30 Central time.

The EWTN website still lists Mother Angelica’s Rosary on EWTN TV at that time.

I don’t know if that’s accurate (because I don’t subscribe to EWTN TV) or if it just hasn’t been updated because Mother Angelica’s Rosary used to run on EWTN radio at that time.

Me too,so i was surprised to watch it on my hotel in new orleans.love their programs!
