I was baptized Catholic but my parents never told me — my dad was Catholic but I went to the Episcopal church with my mom. I left church in college and became an agnostic . . . who can know if there’s a God?
Then I fell into major depression and God spoke to me one day, He said: “Read the Bible.” I read Matthew, Mark and Luke in one sitting, recognized Jesus as the source of truth, and decided to become a Christian. I joined the Foursquare Church, who I appreciate as they love God sincerely, and then a nondenominational church. I raised my two oldest sons in evangelical churches, and regret most that I didn’t have them baptized. My second son was baptized at 14 but my oldest hasn’t been.
Then I married a Catholic and joined the Catholic church to avoid a situation like my parents, and since then have learned that this is where I belong. My two youngest children are baptized in the church, and I pray for my oldest every day.
