Yes! 3 neices and one nephew. Also a good friends daughter as well. I am honored and wish I prayed for them more than I do!

Yes I have one goddaughter, it is my best friends oldest child. I am so blessed to have her in my life.

I said yes in the poll, but i’m not sure if i should have done.My Godson got himself high by sniffing glue, fell over and died from the head injury he received.
Looking back,i believe the right and courageous thing to do would have been to refuse the opportunity to be his Godfather. After all, isn’t it the Godparents job to see that the child stays with the Catholic Faith, should the parents die prematurely? However,i would have hurt his grandfather if i had refused without having a solid excuse.I never saw that boy from he was a baby till he died at 15 years old.He was taken out of the country for a spell, but even when he came back there was no contact. We didn’t as much as receive a card giving their new address.
I wouldn’t have had a problem refusing the Godparent’s job from his father, though i doubt if i would have been offered it.The youngest child is Down’s Syndrome and the last i heard her father has never seen her.He left the family and is now living with a new partner. At 66 years old,he needs prayers for his return to the Church. In fact, his whole family does.

Yes, to my brother’s son who is 17 and is a dream of a good guy and to my sister’s son who is 8 and a religious skeptic despite all of my influence and his young age. He’s a hard nut to crack, but I’m trying and praying.

I have two godchildren, my niece and my friend’s daughter.

I also am a godparent thru my wife’s godchildren 🙂

To my best friend’s daughter.

And to a friend I went on holiday with, and visited a monastery together whereupon she decided she wanted to be baptized, so we did it in another monastery right there at the seaside! 🙂

No, and I’m very sad because I’ve never been asked. 9 nieces and nephews, plus cousins. My (estranged) DH doesn’t understand why I’m so upset about it. I’ve tried to be a good person and I’m a practicing Catholic. I keep wondering what I’ve done wrong.🤷 😦

Yes!!!
2 Godsons.
One of them is leaving tomorrow to go to the seminary! That means I get to go straight to Heaven, Right? 😉

Yes I have one goddaughter. I love her to pieces and I love being a godmother, but unfortunately it causes me a lot of stress! You can find out why HERE. 😦

Prayers for the repose of the soul of your Godson. How sad. :gopray:
