I have to serve tomorrow, so I will be. I always liked the All Souls’ Day Mass. It’s sort of sad, but I like how we set aside a special day to remember our faithful departed. I get to do the incense tomorrow. 😃

My Dad passed in June and he’ll be included in our Day of Remembrance. Our parish is hosting a dinner afterward for all members of the parish who have experienced a loss within their family.

No, there won’t be one in my parish and I’m working during the time when one will be celebrated at the Mission 20 miles away.

There was a Mass in our parish tonight but I had class so I couldn’t attend.

Yes, I am attending … in fact I have the honor of Lector for the Mass tomorrow! Thanks be to God! 🙂

Our Parish has a Wed evening Mass that we go to regularly so it happens that it falls on All Souls Day. I’m looking forward to the Mass having never been to one on this particular day before…

No, unfortunately I have to see my shrink (for depression:() when the Mass is scheduled tomorrow.

But, our All Saints Day Mass today was amazing. 10 kids from the Catholic elementary school all dressed up as Saints and told us about their lives and what they were patron saint of. Not to mention there were more people in Church today than there were in the Sunday Mass at the same time. It was packed, which was great 👍.

Yes, I am.

I’m actually thinking of going to a Solemn OF, tomorrow evening. Can you believe it? 😃

I am on this email list list and I received an email stating there will be a Solemn requiem mass with the “music of Fauré, Harris and Gregorian Chant”.

Sounds awesome!

It’s an hour later than my EF mass, so if I decide not to go, I will attend the EF mass.

Yes, I will be attending All Souls’ Day Mass.
I have work tomorrow but there is a 7am Mass at my church which I will be attending.

Everyone, make sure you double-check the Mass times for All Souls. Every priest in the Latin Church is entitled to celebrate three Masses today, by permission of Pope Benedict XV in 1915. No permission is necessary; it’s automatic. Therefore, there could be extra Masses at more convenient times.

No, but I probably should. My mom passed away this past May. But my father is in the hospital and my days are taken up with being with him. 😦

I live in CT and most people in my area, and that includes the parish, are still w/o power.

We had to cancel all Masses since Sunday morning. So none Sun, Mon, today or tomorrow. Hopefully…hopefully we will have power before the weekend. But even then the power companies arent promising anything.

This has been a real stuff snowstorm in that it has caused a great deal of damage. And I dont mean just the typical “power lines done”…It has taken out transimission lines and substations…actual damage…

It’s been tough.

If I can get there, I’ll definitely go. I’ve never been to a requiem.

Yes,one of the benefits of retirement is being a bit more flexible for these events! I will add a prayer for the intention of y’all who cannot make it due to life intervening. 🙂

I am going to one that is in the ExtraOrdinary Form on Thursday. Of course, I will honor the memory of those family members who have gone before me.

Yes - In fact I am leaving soon to go. It’s a really special day for remembering and celebrating those that we love amongst the dead.
