p.s.
I have to respond to the previous poster, my children have not been expensive at all. I was blessed to have a very good natural unmedicated birth with all three. Yes, lamaze breathing does work if you work with it. Breastfeeding is free and more healthy than bottle-feeding. My family bestowed gifts on all three, with showers and birthdays. I asked for the gifts to be something they could use, like clothes the next size up. Also if you do infant toilet training the way mothers have done for centuries and still do today in most of the world, you have very little diaper expense. (Check out the book Infant Potty Training by Laurie Boucke, $20). I am doing this with my 5-week-old infant, it does work.
Our only increasing expense has been to purchase an extra car-seat, and the gradually increasing grocery bill.
A newborn baby was not designed by God to be a burdensome, fear-causing problem. If you go with nature and are willing to ‘let go and let God," everything falls into place. I am the first one to admit that "losing my life for Jesus’ sake" is not easy. But giving my life away daily to my children has been a blessing and a witness to others.
Just do it. Children are a blessing, not a burden.
